WEDGE IT UP!
WEDGE IT UP!
That’s a complete mystery to me really! How could I possibly
forget to add to my ‘21 things that I love‘ list my favourite pair of shoes!? To make up for that huuuuge mistake, today I’m sharing with you my latest shoe obsession - this pair of camel wedge ankle boots by Bershka. I stumbled upon them a while ago while I was strolling around the stores and I just fell in love with them instantaneously… And you know, the fact that they were on sale made my decision even easier.

And that’s the thing - despite all the hype surrounding Isabel Marant’s signature wedge sneakers, I never really got into the wedge trend. With a height of 5’1” I couldn’t really afford wearing ‘heavy looking’ shoes as they tend to make my legs seem way shorter than they actually are. For this reason I’ve done my best to restrain myself from wearing the much adored Marant’s.
In contrast to the wedge sneakers that add quite a lot of volume to the bottom part of my body, when I gave these suede wedges a try I was like ‘Hallelujah! Finally a wedge that elongates my legs!’
And really, since then, they’ve become a staple piece of my wardrobe - I’d wear them during the day on a walk around the city (you have no idea how comfy they are), or on a night out with a dressier top. However, when it comes to how to style them: I’d always pair them with a pair of skinny jeans and an oversized top. During the day it would be a sweater and during the night an oversized shirt.
Also, as you know how much I love accessories that match - I’d normally pair them with my camel messenger bag and cat-eye shades.
And you, which team are you on? ‘Wedge sneakers‘ or ‘Wedge boots’?
