The second time I visited New York it was right in the middle of the summer. I was buzzing to spend a month in the City, walking around in my shortest shorts and enjoying the sun’s rays and breeze near the Hudson.
However, as I made my way out of the airport, I faced an entirely different
level of heat.
The taxi driver had probably noticed my bewilderment and

Thankfully, he had let his air con run at full blast which quickly brought me back to my senses.
Now I had another problem to deal with! The same night I was supposed to attend a posh fashion event and I had no other choice but get a grip and quickly decide on the type of make up I was gonna wear. I was dreading wearing any foundation in these pretty extreme tropical…I mean weather conditions… and unfortunately my Rimmel ?Wake me up? (here)wasn’t gonna save the day this time.
Now I had another problem to deal with! The same night I was supposed to attend a posh fashion event and I had no other choice but get a grip and quickly decide on the type of make up I was gonna wear. I was dreading wearing any foundation in these pretty extreme tropical…I mean weather conditions… and unfortunately my Rimmel ?Wake me up? (here)wasn’t gonna save the day this time.
In panic, the very moment I entered the flat, I started digging through my make up bag in hopes of finding a product that would improve the elasticity of my dry skin without leaving it moist and greasy. Pretty impossible, right?
I was just about to give up when I stumbled upon Josie Maran?s Serum Foundation (here) in shade ‘Medium/Dark’ (suitable for skin with yellow/olive undertones; for pink undertones go for the fair/light instead). I had it since winter when I immediately bought it after finding out that it contained agran oil. If you’ve read my article about my holy grail moisturiser (here), you probably remember one of my beauty secrets I shared. Since an early age I’ve been taught to use organic oils such as avocado, argan, and apricot all of which have worked wonders for my dry skin, keeping it healthy and glowing. So how could I have possibly missed out on buying an argan-based serum foundation? That’s right. I couldn’t have. And I didn’t.
And there I was, applying in a rush for the first time that supposedly miraculous foundation. What I immediately noticed was its scent. Its DIVINE scent!!! Even though I was aware that Josie Maran?s products were 100% organic, honestly, I?d never crossed my mind that a scent could actually imply that!

And even though the serum’s texture makes it look more like a moisturiser, at a closer glance you’ll notice the little brownish droplets it contains. When you start applying the creme, the droplets liquefy evening your skin tone and granting your complexion with a healthy looking glow. And trust me, I was quite sceptical when I found out that this was a self-adjusting foundation. I was actually certain that this was yet another smart promotional trick to lure the make-up-holics. However, the fact that the serum blends perfectly well both with my super tanned summer skin and with my lacking much colour current complexion - this could mean only one thing: Josie Maran’s kept her promise.

However, if you?re looking for a product with a high coverage, then you should probably scratch that. Josie Maran’s Argan Matchmaker Serum Foundation, however, works great for me, the not-so-huge fan of full-coverage foundations that could make you look rather clownish and old.
Recently, I’ve re-paused using the miraculous serum slash foundation slash moisturiser, especially when I’m headed to ‘Club 365’. As it tends to get quite hot indoors when the place is packed, the last thing I wanna worry about is that half-way through the night I’d look like a hot mess (and no, people don’t get the intentionally achieved ‘dewy’ effect). Luckily, Josie Maran’s product has come in quite handy to make me feel more confident at times like these. And the best bit is - I don’t have to worry whether my make up will stay in place. At the end of the day, do you ever worry whether your moisturiser could potentially run down your cheeks? Precisely!
I’d recommend this product to each and everyone of you who’s currently in the search of a product that will both make your skin appear naturally flawless and glowing, while at the same tim providing it with vitamin E and the natural boost it deserves.
