Synergy of Love Engraved by Hvisk

And no. These two letters aren’t an abbreviation that stands for my name, but signify the love of two people, which sparked a few months back in the most unexpected and bizarre way, and continues to grow with every passing day. A week from today my surname won’t even start with the cheeky ‘Pepe’.
If only anyone had ever told me how much my life would change in less than a year; that I’d meet a person who makes me feel home and be already expecting a cute little one.
People raise an eyebrow when they hear our story, spitefully remarking that we don’t know each other enough, which (they would keep on going) is never a good sign . But we’ve never considered proving them wrong, because, of course, we don’t. But when do you get to know the other one ‘enough’? And can anything be ever that?

It’s every morning when we wake up and choose to stay snuggled in each other’s arms for a while that we steal away yet another fraction from each other’s heart. We do that when we joke around or passionately argue (and, of course, we do) because, come on, everyone needs some drama in their life. 🙂
But not even a single obstacle has ever made us doubt that we’ve found the one. Because we granted each other with the biggest gift from the day we went on a first date – the freedom to be yourself.
And as long as we keep that safe, there’s no doubt that everything else will fall into place.
A week from today I will be wearing that little piece of jewellery close to my heart, while locking lips with my other half after having said ‘Yes’ to leave the building under a new and much more Danish-sounding name.
