How close are you to your parents? Well, I?
I can?t even recall the last time I regarded my mom and dad as such. I guess it?s the small age gap that?s helped us develop relationship that resembles friendship more than anything else (for which, honestly, I can?t be thankful enough).
And, you know, we bonded even more when I was abroad (Random fact about me: I graduated Loughborough University) chatting over Skype almost every single evening.
And even thought I chose to return home after finishing Uni, we still don?t see much of each other.
For quite some time my dad had dreamt of living in a house outside the city and be as close to nature as he possibly could. And it was just around the time I came home when his dream became reality: they bought a lovely house just outside Sofia and moved out of our flat for good.
So today with our busy schedules, rather than spending quality family time ‘offline’ during the week, we hardly find time to meet up and have a proper chat. Now, mulling over it  ? we actually used to talk much more when I was away than we do now.
I guess, distances do bring people closer.
But Dad always says: ?When you?re in town ? I?m at rest. I know that whenever I wanna see you I can’
And aren?t we weird?
I mean aren?t people weird?
When we have the opportunity to spend time together we tend to miss it and wait until that very moment when we?re so far away from one another that all we could do is wait until our next reunion.
Anyway, on Sunday morning dad called and suggested that the three of us (Random Fact About Me 2: I have no siblings) did something together.
I immediately cancelled all of my plans and went to meet up with my mom.
It was warmer than anticipated and I couldn?t skip the chance to rock some beige shorts with my brand new over-the-knee boots and faux fur coat. Ah! And, did you notice the colour of my bag? I’ve always found ‘copper’ the best colour for a bag. It can be combined literally with all colours that come to mind. So next time you pull of a quirky colourful outfit – you know the colour of bag you should be going for.
/And, by the way, now looking at the outfit I was wearing on Sunday, I?m pretty convinced that I have some sort of obsession with sleeveless coats and shorts. Damn it./
My mother and I have this tradition of hitting the organic shops every time we see each other and purchase some healthy vegan snacks. And as we hadn?t paid our favourite organic bakery ?Sun and Moon? a visit for quite some time, we were quite up for some gluten-free vegan cookies.

Then it was time for some decor shopping.
Currently, my parent’s house is being refurbished so we decided to get some vintage accessories for their brand new kitchen (Cannot wait to vlog showing you some healthy recipes from there!)

After spending quite some time getting bits and pieces from Downtown, we headed to meet up with my dad: It was sushi and cinema time.
We had our meal and spoke about my future plans, We had our meal and spoke about my future plans, raising on a couple of occasions my decision to move to Copenhagen.
Even though dad and I have uncommon ways of communicating (you can read more about that: here) as we resemble each other way too much, this time we didn?t argue or annoy each other. We actually spent some great family time probably due to the very fact that in a few months time I?ll be moving out of the country for good.
And thought I?ve always said that I feel as if I have no roots and that I don’t find my moving abroad stressful at all, today speaking about it my heart sinks just a little.
When I was moving to Uni I was still 18 and I had no idea whether I?d stay abroad or return back home after my Graduation. Now, at the age of 24 it all seems much more serious, as my living abroad won’t have an ?expiry date.?
I can only hope to be lucky enough to be able to travel back home whenever I feel like it.
Enough with the ramblings now.
Our evening  ended with ?Fury?, starring Brad Pitt, Shia LaBeouf and Logan Lerman.

I’ll be writing a review of the film so I really don?t wanna share too much about it just yet?
Just one thing: It will blow you away.
You?ll laugh. You?ll cry. And most certainly you?ll be taught a lesson about compassion, friendship, love and forgiveness?.. while being completely outraged with the dark side of our nature.
Human nature.
Highly recommend!!!
And now it’s your turn.
How did your weekend go?
Love,
A.
