Perfectly Aligned

Yesterday I put on my high heels and went for a walk with Sofia. Awwww, I missed that casual-chic city look! Since I moved to Copenhagen my style has changed a lot. I have matured and so has the way I wear my new identity. Plus, it’s almost impossible to stumble upon anyone wearing stilettos in daylight here, which probably explains why everyone who crossed my path had a question mark on their face. But who cares? Now that Philip and I live a little bit closer to the city, why not go back to my city self? My biggest mistake during my stay in Copenhagen – I did my best to fit in. I tried to make Danish friends and to...

Embracing the Transition with a Spring-Fresh Look

Change is never easy.  The transition grabs you by the hand and takes you on a journey – sometimes rocky, sometimes smooth – but always exciting because you’re on your way to some place new. Even the seasonal transition can be tricky. Do you ever get the so called ‘Spring Break Blues’? I’ve decided to embrace the transition and celebrate it like a Dane! Going for a Spring fresh look despite the chilly wind. I mean, seriously! The other day people were already sunbathing and it was just above 14 C. degrees. Me?...

The Monday After

The big packing has begun (more about what’s going on here)! Philip and I spent the weekend rearranging the flat, throwing things out, and sorting the rest in boxes. The flat feels empty and its cosiness has almost evaporated. I can’t help but feel nostalgic, blogging from our couch and looking at the empty shelves. Philip and I managed to turn his bachelor’s pad into our first home and it’d been years since I last called a place ‘home’. And here we are already embarking on a new adventure. Even though our life in boxes is bringing my anxiety levels up (yes, I’m still learning to control my perfectionism and not let it get the best of me), we decided to get all the annoying tasks out...

BOOM… It’s here!

It’s here! My brand new watch by BOOM watches that I designed myself! And yes, I do have a thing for watches. Not that I ever use them for their real purpose, I have my phone for that…so it should come as no surprise that my watches are always a lil bit behind or forward. Plus, my watches serve a better purpose – to spice my outfits up. So no…I didn’t really need a new watch until I discovered BOOM. I was able to pick the main parts of the watch myself and decide on its final look. And what better for an indecisive individual like me, right? It took me some time to decide exactly which strap I wanted because let’s be honest – all of them...

Styling It Up.

I can’t even remember when I last wore dressy clothes. Maybe on Christmas Eve? But then would it make any sense to be all glamorous and cool for my daily trip to the grocery store? I don’t think so. Becoming a mommy means learning to multitask big time. Thankfully, I’m pretty good at it. I can make myself look presentable even with Sofia in my arms…so in my case it’s not really about that. It’s about the fact that my daily routine has changed so much that it’s more of a struggle than pleasure to stick to my old ways. I can’t even imagine taking the train to the city with Sofia – the wagon, feeding her among all those other people… No...
