My Face Essentials For The Beach

I skipped sunbathing last year, too afraid to expose my bump to the sun. I guess it was exactly when Sofia-Malou was still in my belly that it hit me that spending too much time in the sun wasn’t at all healthy for  the skin (and my little one). It’s common sense, but I needed to have someone else to care about to actually stop spending hours under the sun. Also, I have a blemish-prone skin, which means that every time I squeeze a spot, it’s very likely that a dark spot will appear in its place. If you have the same problem, you are probably aware that sun can only worsen the situation. Exactly because of that I’ve begun applying sun protect...

Fighting the Enemy – Pregnancy Stretch Marks

Among one of the biggest beauty myths is that by purchasing tons of expensive products, you’ll be able to prevent the appearance of stretch marks during your pregnancy. The thing is – I’ve gotten in terms with the fact that in a few months time I’ll be probably noticing some lines here and there, so fighting against that is pointless. Why? Because if your skin has low elasticity – then there is not much you could do to change that, especially when the skin is rapidly stretching to cater for what’s happening inside. The best you could do is give your skin as much moisture as possible to let stretch more effortlessly (especially if you have overly dry skin like me). I’ve...

My Cheeky Hair Secret: The Gorgeous Hair Extensions by ‘IrresistibleMe’

My Cheeky Hair Secret: The Gorgeous Hair Extensions by ‘IrresistibleMe’  After being asked over and over again how come my hair has grown so quickly, it’s time for me reveal that not-so-big-of-a-secret. It’s called extensions – how naughty of me, eh? Over the last few years my hair has gone through crazy changes – it was blond once, then I decided that blond was not my colour at all and started experimenting with darker shades of brown until it got pretty much black. Then, of course, the unstoppable me decided that the ‘light hair’ times have come again – so there I was getting highlights. But highlights in almost black hair? Really? What was I thinking!? Now my hair is...

January Beauty Favourites

January Beauty Favourites Where are my fashion posts!? Well, in the near future – when the sun stays out (actually when the sun comes out) so that my camera is actually able to capture the outfit in a blog-perfect way. #LifeInDanmark So today rather than going into the vicious circle of negative thinking and spitefully blaming the weather for my work-related problems – I made the rational decision to use the occasion to share with you what my current ‘beauty’ favourites are. But, please, a close-up first. 1. Punk Bouquet Body Soufflé by ‘& other Stories’ (here) If for some mysterious reason you’ve never tried the ‘Bath & Body’ products by ‘& other Stories’ before, it’s time that you fixed that misunderstanding and let...

Latest Beauty Crush: Body Shop’s Fresh Nude Foundation

Latest Beauty Crush: Body Shop’s Fresh Nude Foundation You know me and my overly dry skin, it’s literally a nightmare when it comes to finding the right foundation that would leave my skin luminous and dewy, while also give it just enough coverage without making me look like a doll. WOW! Quite a challenge, eh? I’d normally opt for my all time favourite Rimmel ‘Wake me up’ foundation in shade ‘Sand’ 300), but with my face becoming paler and paler (like… I live in Copenhagen now) the shade of my foundation had to also change. And while I’m still a massive fan of Rimmel and their ‘Wake Me Up’ divinity, when it comes to the shades it offers – Rimmel  miserably fails....
