Back In the Game and an Afternoon at Kødbyen
?Letters to Antoinette? is back and having spent almost two months without being actively engaged with it, honestly, it feels almost surreal that LTA is finaaaaallllyyy back for good! But that?s the thing, I spent so much time without it, that it took me a few weeks to actually decide on its re-launch day, which happens to be today!
And let me tell you, my hands are currently shaking and I?m buzzing from excitement. Gosh, I missed talking to you. It turns out it wasn’t really the Danish summer pseudo summer that made my moods go from one extreme to another, leaving me feel so demotivated and uninspired. It was actually the very fact that I was obstructed to do what I love most – talking to you… and look at me today all hyped up and happy again!
As you?ve probably noticed, the interface of ?LTA? has completely changed and you’re now able to send in your letter via the  ?Submit a Letter? section, which will definitely facilitate our communication with one another – HOORAY! I actually can’t wait to hear any feedback you might have or send me a letter with a suggestion or question :).
On a side note ? if you?re currently planning to switch platforms (I moved from Blogger to WordPress), make sure to gear yourself with a lot of patience. Two months ago, while having an afternoon nap I had this vision that it was time that I took ?LTA? to another level, and honestly, in my mind, it was all gonna happen overnight. Guess what, that thought turned out to be as far from reality as it gets. And you could only imagine how anxious I ended up feeling. I?ve shared with you on a numerous occasions how impatient I normally am, especially when it comes to work. However, if there?s something I’ve learned over the last couple of months is that the great results require time and patience. And even though a few things are still to be finished (such as importing my Disqus comments: P.S. We?re still trying to figure that out so if you have any tips please let me know in the comments below. Thank you!).

In case you?re wondering what I?ve been up to over the last few months. Well, unfortunately, I allowed myself to focus most of my energy on worrying about?Letters to Antoinette?, my YouTube channel (that?s launching this TUESDAY!!!), and trying to find a job. I was kind of sabotaging everything myself by being negative and pessimistic ? said the ‘at all times  positive’ Antoinette. Weird, eh? But yeah, the whole ?starting over? did have a huge impact on me and it was only a few weeks ago that I basically forced myself to snap out of that destructive mood and get back to being positive. I started reading motivational books, listening to up-beat music and visualising positive results.
From that moment on, P. and I started working on promoting MakeOneGood and establishing it on the local fashion scene. Thankfully, Copenhagen-ers are into quirky, hipster-ish designs, and we began organising photoshoots locally in order to build brand awareness  (www.facebook.com/makeonegood).
Apart from that I?ve started going to yoga, to develop my chi? but mostly, to improve my flexibility. And if you?ve been keeping up-to-date with my daily vlogs on Snapchat (antoinette.pepe) you?re probably aware that I?ve started a part job at the ?The Body Shop?! Say what!?
Surrounding myself with people has definitely helped take my mind off the technical issues we were facing with the website. And genuinely, while such a positive experience, it’s been also quite challenging, taking into account my close to ? okay,  ZERO Danish skills, which still trigger the evils from the Danes. I guess they see me as yet another ?immigrant? who?s moved to take advantage of their country. Even though I initially took their attitude quite personally, I finally realized that it?s not me they were angry with, but the whole governmental system that welcomes foreigners to come live on their land. Why I’m sharing this? Because the moment I changed my attitude, their did so too. No matter the looks I was initially getting every single time an English word roll out of my mouth, I stayed positive and composed, making jokes at myself to make them laugh. Guess what? It helped!
Moral of the story ? your surroundings and the situations you encounter are a mirror of you and your attitude towards the world. Try to stay positive when all you wanna do is to shout. And just wait for the magic that will follow shortly after.

Earlier, P. and I went to the food market at Kødbyen (The Meat City) or the local Meatpacking District to celebrate the re-launch of LTA. He took a few snaps of me while exploring the stands (it took me literally ages to pick a bottle of wine)! I did some wine-tasting before finally making my mind. If you’re visiting Copenhagen any time soon (do so before the weather gets even crappier), make sure to bring your friends to the Food Market and have some fun under the tunes that the DJ plays. Yep, there’s a DJ too.
